OverNormal Play is a music player for original songs by independent artists — many made with AI tools. Stream every track free, read the full lyrics, build your own playlist, and discover new music — all in one place.

Visit overnormal.com/play/songs — all songs are listed newest first, 50 per page.

Type a title, artist name, or genre in the search bar and press Search. Results update instantly on the same page.

Each row shows the play count, upvote count (♥), comment count (💬), and duration. Click any row to open it in the full player. Use ‹ Prev / Next › buttons at the bottom to move between pages.

Press the large ▶ / ⏸ button in the centre of the player to play or pause the track.

Drag the progress bar to jump to any point in the song. The elapsed and remaining time are shown on each side.

Tap ←15 to rewind 15 s or 15→ to skip 15 s forward.

Tap the speed pill (shows 1× by default) to cycle through 0.5×, 0.75×, 1×, 1.25×, 1.5×, and 2× speeds.

Use the style selector in the top-right of the player to switch between Full (large artwork), Wide (landscape card), and Compact (minimal strip) layouts.

Click the Sign In button in the top-right corner of any page. Sign in with Google, or create an account with your email and a password.

After signing in you can: save songs to My Playlist, upload your own songs (+ Add a Song), manage Your uploads, leave comments, and get your own public Profile page.

Visit your Profile page and tap Sign Out at the bottom.

On the All Songs tab, tap the + button on the right of any row. It changes to a green ✓ when the song is in your playlist. Tap again to remove it. A hint legend at the top of the list explains the icons.

Switch to the My Playlist tab to see all saved songs in order.

Hold and drag the ⠿ grip handle on the left of any row to move it to a new position. Works on both desktop and mobile (touch drag).

Click the ✕ button on the right of any row in My Playlist, or tap the green ✓ of that song in the All Songs tab.

Your playlist saves automatically to the cloud after every change. You'll see a Saved ✓ status appear briefly. Your playlist is synced across all your devices.

In the My Playlist tab, tap ▶ Play to open your playlist as a listenable page. Tap Share to copy your playlist link or send it via your device's native share sheet. Anyone with the link can listen to your curated selection.

The playlist page features a complete music player with three viewing modes: Standard (16:9 album art), Compact (mini-player), and Car mode (large controls). Toggle modes with the view switcher in the top-right. The playlist header is collapsible — click to expand/collapse. In Edit Mode (via the Manage Songs button), you can add new songs with real-time search filtering, remove songs, and drag-and-drop to reorder. All changes auto-save to the cloud instantly.

Upload a song with + Add a Song (MP3 up to 25 MB, plus title, artist, tags, lyrics and an optional cover). Your songs appear under Your uploads on your profile, where each one has a menu to Edit details, Replace audio or Delete. Every song gets its own short link to share.

Go to Profile → edit your username (3–24 letters, numbers, underscores). Once set, your public page is live at overnormal.com/u/username.

Your public profile shows your display name, bio, and your current My Playlist — complete with a built-in player so visitors can listen directly on the page.

Tap your avatar / name in the top-right corner to reach your Profile settings page. You can update your display name, bio, and link your social handles.

On the home page, tap ▶ Start listening to jump to Fresh releases, or tap 🎲 Surprise Me to open a random song from the whole library — great for discovering tracks you haven't heard.

Tap the + Add a Song button and upload your MP3 (up to 25 MB), add a title, artist, tags, lyrics and an optional cover. Your song gets its own short link (like overnormal.com/play/your-song) that you can share anywhere.

When you return to the player, a Continue Listening card shows the last song you were playing. Tap it to resume right where you left off.

Tap a genre chip below Fresh releases to filter by genre. Tap the active chip again (or "All") to clear the filter.

Scroll the horizontal Artists strip to browse creators. Tap any artist to open their artist page with all of their songs.

The 🔥 Trending section highlights the most-played songs. A NEW badge marks recently added tracks.

The Now Playing widget on the homepage shows the latest songs being played across the platform in real time. A pulsing red dot indicates live activity.

Each entry shows the song, artist, and who played it (e.g. "▶ Toni Maxx"). Users who prefer privacy appear as "Someone". Tap any row to open that song in the player.

The widget starts collapsed, showing a scrolling marquee of the latest track. Tap it to expand the full list. The feed auto-updates every 15 seconds when expanded, 30 seconds when collapsed.

You can hide your name from the live feed. Go to Profile → Settings and toggle off "Show my listening activity". Your plays will still count but appear as "Someone" to others.

Live (red pulse) — someone played a song in the last 5 minutes. Recent (grey dot) — plays exist but none in the last 5 minutes. Empty — no recent activity. Be the first to play something!

Tap the 👏 clap button — it floats over the album artwork in all three player styles. You can clap up to 10 times per song.

Tap rapidly to stack multiple claps in one burst. The counter shows how many you've given (3/10 etc.). At 10 it's complete for that song.

Each song has its own clap count stored on your device. Switching tracks resets the counter so you can always cheer for new music.

The comment form requires a signed-in account. Guests can read comments but must sign in to post. On some songs the artist or admin has turned comments off — you'll see a note instead of the form.

Type your message in the rounded text field — it grows automatically as you type. Tap the ↑ circular send button to post.

The 💬 Comments section is open by default. Tap the header bar to collapse it and free up screen space.

Many songs also show AI-generated reviews — written by AI reviewer personas with different styles (critic, poet, producer…), marked with avatar badges. They sit alongside listeners' comments. Tap the 💬 count on any song card to jump straight to them.

Each song has a full comment page showing all reviews and comments in detail with reviewer avatars. Access it via the comment link on any song.

Tap the Share button in the creator row below the player. A toast slides up with the song's short link, like overnormal.com/play/sangp.

Tap Copy link to copy the URL to your clipboard. On supported mobile browsers a native Share… button also appears for quick forwarding to other apps.

Shortcuts are active on the player page whenever focus is not inside a text field. Press ? to open the full shortcuts reference panel.

Open the side menu (☰ top-right) and tap the theme toggle to cycle between Light ☀️, Dark 🌙, and System 🖥 modes. Your preference is saved locally on the device.

Sign in with an authorized admin email account. If you have admin access, you'll see Admin Panel in the side menu (☰). Visit overnormal.com/play/admin to access the dashboard.

The dashboard shows platform statistics: total songs (by status: active/hidden/trashed), users, plays, upvotes, and uploads in the last 24 hours. Charts display top 10 most-played and most-upvoted songs, plus recent uploads.

The Songs page lists every song with filters. Each song's ⋯ menu lets you edit details and the short link, edit lyrics (with a before/after diff), replace the MP3 or cover, hide/unhide, trash, delete, and see the history with Undo. The Comments page manages listener comments and AI reviews, including per-song on/off switches.

The Lyrics are part of each song. Edit them from the admin Songs page (⋯ → Edit lyrics), which shows a before/after diff and can be undone. Uploaders can also edit their own lyrics from their profile.

The admin panel supports dark/light/system themes just like the main player. Use the theme dropdown in the top navigation bar to switch modes. Your preference is saved locally.
